Don't move any farther.
-> "Ne vas pas plus loin" (literally) (this one is better)
-> "Plus un pas!" (for an hostage situation for example)

Go back into your room!
-> "Retourne dans ta chambre!" (literally)
-> "Va dans ta chambre!" (for example when a kid is insolent during the dinner and the parent is punishing him, we commonly use this phrase)

Keep going.
-> "Continue" (=Go on)

yes - it is " un poème en prose " !   #843924

First : la prose correspond à une expression "normale", courante, celle de tous les jours, c'est-à-dire quand on parle ou quand on écrit sans faire de vers ni de rimes. want to know more about prose : http://www.copiedouble.com/content/quest-ce-quun-po%C3%A8me-en-prose

Now, here is your French text 'bettered' -  it's not perfect, but better than the previous version.

Une boîte pleine de vide, une boîte pleine d'acceptation. Elle accepte et garde tout avec une entière protection. Elle rappelle à quiconque tous les souvenirs et moments vécus, l'enfance, les fêtes d'anniversaire, les événements importants et même les photos de classe. Elle se souvient des moments heureux, mais aussi, mais aussi... des photos d'un défunt. Elle a grandi avec de nombreux souvenirs qui ne lui appartenaient pas. Elle peut vieillir,...

Il n'y a que maintenant / Only Now » answer
by Eli-Larson (UN), 2016-05-05, 16:08  Spam?
Bonjour!

Context: English to French for "There is only now / You only have now / the only time that matters is the present / etc" coming from the angle that nothing is real but the present and you are mortal (if that isn't too confusing).

I have 3 possible translations but I'm trying to find the most natural / correct / perfect way to phrase the above thought in French. Whether it is the translations I have or something else. Any help would be amazing.

1. Il n'y a que maintenant

2. Il n'y a rien, mais cet instant

3. Il n’y a rien que le moment present qui compte

Merci beaucoup!
Answer:
I believe you use 'now' as a reference to the present time - the one during which each of us is perceptive/living/conscious....  #842593

Hello,

I'd use different formulations as the ones you proposed... they do not sound 'native' (maybe the second one...the first is a partial sentence/the third is not grammatically correct)

Here are some suggestions :

Il n'y a que le présent qui compte.
Seul le présent existe.
Rien n'existe, autre que cet instant.
Seul le moment présent importe.

Of course, those short sentences can be 'dressed' with contextual clues.
It's not too confusing, it's just that there are several way to express the 'time' notion and its existence in the first place.

Wikipedia(FR): Temps

Hope that helps!
Cheers!

it can also mean :

increasingly
better each time
becoming better
gradually better

and sarcastically, one can use it to depict the exact opposite : becoming worst, reaching a low point, as bad as never before...

There might even be a few more my Monday morning brain is not thinking about....:)

Hope that helps,
Cheers!

BRAVO !
just don't forget the ending punctuation.

Thinking that when you say 'cry' it implies 'feelings',
and when you say 'words' you mean something that you wrote.
then, here are other versions...

J'ai envie de toucher les gens, même lorsqu'ils ne comprennent pas mes écrits.    - you can also use 'mots'

I did rephrase some, while trying to keep and respect your original lexicon.
One question : is the name of the restaurant "Sapore" or "Sapore d'Italie" ?  (I understood it as 'Sapore' being an Italian restaurant...if not, then the first sentence needs amends.)

Hope that helps!

Terracettes in french (geographical feature) » answer
by olly geography, 2016-04-15, 14:53  Spam?  82.248.2....
Hi can anyone help me translate the word Terracettes, In geomorphology, a terracette is a type of landform, a ridge on a hillside formed when saturated soil particles expand, then contract as they dry, causing them to move slowly downhill. An example of this is the manger near the Uffington White Horse. It may also be described as a small, irregular step-like formation on steep hillslopes, especially on those used for pasture which are formed by soil creep or erosion of surface soils exacerbated by the trampling of livestock such as sheep or cattle. Synonyms  are: catstep, cattle terracing, sheep or cattle track.

I would like it translated for something i am doing about the geomorphology of a place in france. merci

Terrassette(s) and to avoid too many repetition, you could use :
Petites terrasses ( in the plural form )

http://www.cnrtl.fr/definition/terrassette

it would not be misunderstood, when the context of geomorphology is clear !

Hope that helps.

Il looks strange in french but the translation is :
"je ne suis pas ce qui m'est arrivé. Je suis ce que je choisis d'être. Pour toujours "
But as a french I would better say
" ce n'est pas mon passé qui me définit. Je suis ce que je choisis d'être. Pour toujours et à jamais "
