Du fait à
by unprousting (GB), Last modified: 2018-03-09, 18:02  Spam?
This is the title of a French philosophy essay:
"Comment le Savant peut-il conclure du fait à La Loi"

It's the du fait à that is troubling me. The fact of Law doesn't sound right. Could it be translated as:
"What can the scholar conclude from the established Laws"? Or maybe "the existence of known Laws"? I think it needs a little more elaboration in English.

Think I've got it now: How might the scholar derive the law from the fact.
